Assisted Swimming Device - Special Olympics

The assisted swimming device system is designed to allow someone with limited physical mobility to participate in Special Olympics swimming activities.

 

Special Olympics hosts a series of events for people with special needs to participate and compete in. Due to various limitations, people with certain diseases still cannot participate in these activities without assistance.

The device surpasses current industry standards in the following areas :

  • Optimal flotation

  • Maintenance of balance

  • Comfort

  • Cost

System Components:

  • Life vest base

  • 3D printed buckles attached along the vest

  • Additional flotation components

  • Belts

  • Barbell

  • Connection straps
